The Problem

Throughout Nicaragua, 63% of rural Nicaraguans lack access to adequate sanitation. This issue is often prevalent in many of the rural schools where there are no facilities to speak of.

The Solution

Working with the NGO El Porvenir, we funded the construction of a new toilet facility for the students and staff at the Jose Marti School. In addition, the school provided an ongoing instructional program on the importance of good hygiene.

June 2015

The second graders at the Bradford School have just completed another successful Waterthon event! For the fourth year in a row, the second grade students have been learning about the water cycle, the importance of water and how access to clean water is different for people around the world. The funds they raise this year will be used to build a new toilet facility at the Jose Marti School in Nicaragua.

August 2015

The students at the Jose Marti School in Nicaragua are thrilled to have their new toilet facility finished and ready for the new school year. The facility will serve not only the students, but the teachers and staff at the school.
