Njinikejem Benches

The Problem

Overcrowded classrooms is a common problem in many schools throughout Cameroon. At the Njinikejem School, three or four students might find themselves sharing a bench built for two, or in some cases, relegated to sitting on the floor.

The Solution

Under our 10-Cent Project Solution program, eighth graders at I.S. 218 in New York City raised the funds necessary to build new benches for the students in need.

Project Updates

September 2011

The new benches have been built and delivered to the school. In addition, they will be getting some new chalkboards soon and have a positive start to the new school year. This is another successful project under The 10-Cent Project Solution program. Many thanks to the 8th Graders at I.S. 218 in New York City who raised the money to fund this project.
